A Pretty Kitchen Nook Makeover and more!

Melissa from Pink Satin Sashes and her husband did a major demo and beautiful job with their kitchen nook.  Here is their kitchen nook now:

This renovation has been a two year progression.
They removed aluminum windows and found two matching old ones to replace them at the demolition store (wish we had a local one!).

Her husband did the electrical work, stuffed the walls with new insulation and drywalled.  Melissa made the inside frames for the windows, added more of the beadboard and made the window seats with storage in them.

I love Melissa's Christmas sheep too (she thinks the cat ate an eye off of each one!).  After:

Melissa is so resourceful!  Limited budget makes for being creative.  The cushion on her banquet was made from foam from a boat ($8).

The seat cushion covers are so pretty and sewn from cotton sheets!
The outside looks amazing too!

The old salvaged windows.  They were 65 dollars for each set, and magically fit perfect!!!!!!

Beautiful after:

For the exception of trim around the windows , door and corners the exterior is almost done.

Melissa and Mr!  You're one heck of a DIY team!  You did a fantastic job! I look forward to seeing more!
