I love featuring other bloggers, but what have I been up to lately? Yes - still working on the living room (specifically waiting for Mr. DIY to help me with the fireplace), plans for a guest bedroom makeover are in the works and the dining room as well. I just ordered chairs to go with our new reclaimed barn wood table (well, it was new last fall and we've been using the patio chairs in the meantime...nice, huh?) and shopping!
I was this --> very <-- close to using my PB gift card for this weathered row of hooks from Pottery Barn: for hanging towels and/or accessories in one of the bathrooms. But, then I remembered something that previous owners had hanging on the wall for keys/coats that we removed and threw in the basement. You can't see it, but it had white paint from where they painted the walls around it and the screw holes didn't line up. (I couldn't find it right away. I hate when that happens but it forced me to start 'spring cleaning' and now the basement is organized too! I didn't find it until I was completely done!)
So, I did a little dry brush technique with left over paint and some sanding:
And now I have this:
What do you think? Not too bad, eh? NOW I get to use my PB gift card for something else! Hurray!
I also hit the thrift store yesterday and two baggies of these wine corks for 59 cents. It's all I found this trip but I love going there.
And, if you want to give a room a fresh new look for spring or your outdoor patio furniture, Joann's has upholstery fabric swatches on clearance and they're perfect for sewing quick pillow covers. I love that each side is different.

And just for fun, I'm still enjoying my birthday tulips and ready for spring more than ever!
