Family run business, Cousins Furniture Stores donated the furniture to Chase Academy to help spruce up their common room ahead of this year's A and AS level exams. The sixth form pupils who use the room for both socialising and study decided to write to John Shotton, Managing Director of Cousins to ask for help in bringing their common room up to date.
Cousins Furniture were happy to help and the students chose a modern black leather suite from the company's Dudley store.I hope their new sofas will encourage them to work hard and I will be keeping a keen eye out for their exam results.
Mrs Jackie Williams, Deputy Headmistress said: "A quiet and comfortable environment is important for productive study. The sofas have given the room a fresh lease of life and the students are now very proud of their new look common room.
